Casa Sirena was envisioned from the outset as a luxury short-term rental experience a property intentionally designed to redefine tropical hospitality through elevated interior design, atmosphere, and detail.
The collaboration between Natural Instinct Designs and Casa Sirena was guided by a clear and ambitious vision: to create a destination that would stand out within the luxury short-term rental market while offering a refined and immersive guest experience.
Every element of the project was approached with intention balancing tropical modern aesthetics, warmth, sophistication, and functionality. The creative process focused not only on visual beauty, but on crafting a complete hospitality experience aligned with the expectations of today’s luxury traveler.
This intentional approach ultimately positioned Casa Sirena within the top 1% of homes on Airbnb, reflecting the success of a property created specifically for the high-end short-term rental market.

From Milan Desing Week 2026 to Costa Rica — A Moment of Recognition
Not long ago, we shared with you a meaningful milestone.
Natural Instinct had been awarded 1st place at the Mirage Thread 2025 Contest, with our luminaire Heterea, and the opportunity to present it at Salone del Mobile in Milan.
Today, we write to you from the other side of that moment.
Milan became the center of the design world this past week a place where global vision, materiality, and innovation converge.
During Salone del Mobile, our work was presented at the Mirage showroom in Brera, where Heterea was not only exhibited, but recognized for its approach to materiality and tropical luxury.
For us, this was more than a continuation — it was a confirmation.
A confirmation that a design philosophy rooted in intention, craftsmanship, and connection to nature resonates beyond borders.
What began as an exploration has now become part of a larger conversation, one that connects Costa Rica with the global design landscape.
As we continue to expand internationally, we remain focused on creating pieces and spaces that are not only aesthetic, but deeply experiential.
This is not a culmination, but a beginning.
